Hogan Consulting

Privacy policy.

Updated October 13, 2026

Hogan Consulting, operated by Matthew J. Hogan in Boston, Massachusetts ("we," "us" or "our"), respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect and use information through hogan.consulting, our contact and signup forms, and LinkedIn Lead Gen Forms.

Information we collect

When you contact us or submit a form, we collect the information you choose to provide. Depending on the form, this may include your name, email address, phone number, company, job title, business needs and messages. When you submit a LinkedIn form, we receive the details you agree to share through that form.

Our website also collects usage information, including pages visited, interactions such as link clicks and form submission events, referring website domain, campaign tags retained during a session, landing and last observed pages, active engagement estimates, browser and device category, approximate country and timestamps. Our custom analytics uses a random browser identifier stored in your browser; it does not store form contents or raw IP addresses. Hosting and other service providers may process IP addresses and technical logs to deliver and protect their services.

How we use your information

We use information submitted through LinkedIn consistently with the purpose and choices described on the form.

How information is shared

We do not sell or rent the personal information you submit. We may share information with providers that help us operate the business, such as website hosting, form processing, email and business software providers, as needed to provide those services. We may also disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety or security.

Browser storage and third-party services

Our custom analytics uses local and session browser storage, and a cookie can remember your analytics preference. You can exclude this browser from future custom analytics using visit preferences. This setting does not control separate hosting-provider analytics or third-party services. You can also manage cookies and storage in your browser.

LinkedIn, embedded content and external links, including referral links, are governed by the relevant providers’ own privacy policies. If you submit a form on LinkedIn, its processing is also covered by LinkedIn’s Privacy Policy.

Retention and security

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, our business relationship and applicable recordkeeping requirements. We use reasonable safeguards to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Service providers may process information in the United States or other countries where they operate.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe option provided or by emailing matt@hogan.consulting. You can also contact us to request access to, correction of or deletion of your personal information, or to withdraw consent. We will respond as required by applicable law and may need to verify your identity. Certain records may need to be retained for legal or business obligations.

Children’s privacy

Our services are intended for business professionals, not children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information.

Updates and contact

We may update this policy by posting a revised version and effective date on this page. For privacy questions or requests, contact Matthew J. Hogan, Hogan Consulting, Boston, Massachusetts, at matt@hogan.consulting.
